Smartphones to be launched in September 2021We expect several smartphones to be launched in September, which is a busy month for smartphone launches. It is also the month that the new iPhones are launched, making September a special month. We also expect that the new Google Pixel flagships will be available this month. This month is when we expect the new Pixel phones and iPhones to be released. With the Jio Phone Next launch, there is also something for beginners. These are the upcoming smartphones in September 2021.
Future phones for September 2021
1. iPhone 13 series
Apple is the company that releases its latest smartphone every September like clockwork. That means we are pretty sure that iPhone 13 series will release this month. We expect four new iPhones will be released. There will be two models of iPhone 13: a mini and a regular, and one for iPhone 13 Pro: a regular and maximum model. Apple’s next-generation A15 chips, which were developed using TSMC’s 5nm manufacturing process, will power all four devices. All four iPhones will be identical in size. According to new reports, the iPhone 13 series will cost a little more than the iPhone 12 series due to the increasing cost of TSMC production.
2. Mi 11T and 11T Pro
Xiaomi Mi 11T and 11T Pro are expected to launch on September 15th, 2021. Leaked renders of the phones have given us a good idea about the design of these smartphones. The renders show the triple-camera module located at the back of the phone, which is housed in an island with a raised rectangular surface. The front is also bezel-free, with a punch hole display in the middle. As for the colours, the renders along with a listing on UK retailer has revealed that the phones will be available in three colours, namely Meteorite Gray, Celestial Blue, and Moonlight White. The Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro are available in 8GB+128GB, 8GB 256GB, and 16GB/128GB versions.
3. Vivo X70 series
The Vivo X70 series is set for a September 7th launch in China. Three smartphones are part of the Vivo X70 series, which includes the Vivo X70 Pro and X70 Pro+. Vivo has been teasing their premium X70 Pro+ smartphone via social media channels. We have a good idea of the design of these smartphones. The phones look quite similar to the leaked renders that we saw last week. The teaser images reveal a lot about the device, and it seems cameras are going to be a big selling point for it. Zeiss optics are featured on the back of the X70 Pro+, as well as T* lens coating, which reduces glare from stray lights. The specs are not known, but we do know that the regular X70 will come with an FHD+ display and the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 CPU. These devices will not be released in India until a date has been set.
4. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE proved to be a very popular device. If rumors are correct, the successor, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, will be available in India this September. We know how the device looks thanks to an “accidental” Instagram post from Samsung. The post, which was deleted, showed a triple camera setup at the back. The camera module had the same finish as all the other parts of the body. According to leaked specifications, the phone will sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC is expected to power the phone with up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and an additional 256GB. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be available for purchase on September 8, according to reports.
5. Google Pixel 6
Google released the covers for its new flagship Pixel device, the Google Pixel 6 Pro and Google Pixel 6 Pro last month. We were impressed. While Google didn’t tell us the raw specs of the device, it did showcase how the device looks and revealed the major features that we can expect from it. This phone has a completely new design that I really like. The new Tensor SoC will enhance Pixel’s AI and ML capabilities. Finally, the camera system was upgraded. The Pixel 6 regular will include a dual-camera system that includes a wide-angle main sensor as well as an ultra-wide sensor. The Pixel 6 Pro will include a fourth 4X optical zoom folded telephoto lens. As per leaks, the phones will come with 33W fast charging and will launch on September 13th. That said, the pre-orders will start on October 19th, with sales kicking off on October 28th.
6. OnePlus 9 RT
OnPlus’s latest smartphone, the OnePlus 9 RT is also tipped to launch this September. The phone was recently spotted on the BIS certification website, which shows that the company is ready to launch the device in India. The phone is supposed to bring incremental upgrades over the OnePlus 9R, which was released earlier this year. According to reports, the OnePlus 9 RT is a limited-edition release for India and China. While we are not sure about the specs, leaks suggest that the device will be powered by Snapdragon 870 and boast of a 120Hz display panel. The device will also be equipped with the 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, which we saw on the OnePlus 9 as well as the OnePlus Nord 2. Pricing information is not yet available.
7. Redmi Note 10 Lite
According to leaks, Xiaomi will be adding a new device in its Note 10 line-up. As per leaks, the device will be just a re-branded version of Redmi Note 9 Pro. The device bears the codename “Curtana” which is the same codename that the Note 9 Pro in India and Note 9S carried in other markets. If the speculations hold, the Redmi Note 10 Lite will come with Snapdragon 720G processor, a 6.67” FHD+ DotDisplay with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a 48MP quad-camera set-up.
8. Realme Narzo 50A
Realme will also be releasing its Realme Narzo 50A in the next month. The device was spotted in BIS certification a week back, pointing to the imminent release of the device. Leaked press renders, as well as camera specifications, reveal a lot more about the device. The renders show the phone with a teardrop notch at its front, a triple camera sensor at its back, and a headphone socket and USB-C charging port at bottom. The Narzo 50A will have a 13MP rear camera and an f/1.8 aperture. An 8MP sensor will be used for the front camera. This device will be priced at Rs 10,000, so it is a budget option.
9. Samsung Galaxy M52
Samsung is on a roll, releasing at least two smartphones per month. As per leaks, Samsung is planning to release the Samsung Galaxy M52 in September. The leaks have revealed almost everything about the device, so let’s find out what Samsung has in store. As we revealed in our leak coverage, the Samsung Galaxy M52 will come with the Snapdragon 778G chipset and 64MP camera. It also has a 6.7-inch SuperAMOLED display. The back of the phone will feature a triple camera sensor, which includes a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 12MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 5MP depth sensor. India will get the phone by September end.
10. Jio Phone Next
Reliance will release its budget smartphone, the “Jio Phone Next”, September 10th. If we believe the rumours and leaks, the phone will cost as low as Rs 3,499. The Qualcomm 215 SoC will power the phone with 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The phone is also expected to have a 5.5-inch HD+ screen and a 13MP camera. According to reports, Reliance also partnered five banks to finance Jio Phone Next’s sale, making it more affordable for even more customers. The company is planning to sell more than 5 crores Jio Phone Next units in the next six months.
11. OPPO F19s
We expect the OPPO F19s to be the final smartphone on our list. We don’t know much about the device but we do know it will be a limited edition and may be priced below Rs 20,000. It could borrow specs from the OPPO F19, or even the more expensive F19 Pro+ and F19 Pro+. But that’s about all the information that we have on the upcoming OPPO F19s.
